Se que viene con retraso, pero como esta última semana he estado de vacaciones navideñas por mi tierra, he desconectado de todo lo que viene siendo el tema informático.
Aun así, me faltaba por hablar de la última carrera del año, que fue el día 24 de Diciembre con la tradicional carrera del Pavo de Navidad.
Al contrario que el año pasado, volvíamos a correr 2 mangas, una primera en donde estaría los M30-M40 y senior, y la segunda, en la que participaba yo, con la categoría pro y amateur. El recorrido para ambos era el mismo, Colmenar-Soto-Guadalix-Cerro San Pedro-Colmenar, unos 40km. aproximadamente, es decir, un pelín mas de una hora de carrera.
En la primera manga, la victoria fue para Rebollo al sprint de 4 corredores, próximo compañero de equipo para el año que viene, y tercero quedo "Pinturas", con quien también compartiré equipo. Según me comentaron, una carrera rara, porque había ataques, y empezaban que si tal que si cual pascual, y para cuando se quisieron dar cuenta, 4 tíos por delante y con ventaja, a ver quien es el majo que cierra el hueco.
La segunda manga en la que competí, no es que tuviese muchos participantes, apenas seríamos 40-50, y a decir verdad, tuvo menos historia aún que la anterior, fue tal que así: Salíamos de Colmenar Viejo, se escapan 3 tíos por delante, el paquete que les va hechando mano poco a poco, y en la bajada de los Melones, arranca Insu con el tándem llevándose a un corredor a rueda y...ya está, coge a los 3 de delante y a abrir hueco. Según nos comentaron desde las motos, a la altura de los Pinarejos ya nos metía 1 min. y 20 seg. con lo que la carrera ya estaba sentenciada. Esto hizo que siendo sinceros...pasase a ser hasta aburrida. Porque si, arrancar y eso mola, y tal, vas en el paquete, pero no se, ya sabes que hagas lo que hagas la victoria está decidida. Y alguno me dirá que en BTT pasa eso muchas veces, sobre todo en rally, y es cierto, pero no se sabe en el kilómetro 2 que ya la victoria para los 4 de delante. No se, se acabó muy pronto la incertidumbre en la carrera.
Por mi parte, después de ver cómo arrancaba la gente y venga a salir para delante, y quedarme en el último paquete, pude tirar para delante en el Cerro con algunos compañeros, y en la última rampa de dicha subida, arrancar y tirar para delante en solitario. La verdad que me sorprendió muchísimo, porque acabé cogiendo al grupo de Borja en Remedios (como a unos 3-4km. desde lo alto del cerro, y a 4 de meta), después de meterme una remada del copón divino, que estaba ya que hechaba el bofe hasta por las orejas, de ahí hasta meta, entrando al relevo, y al final, pues un sprint para que la gente que estuviese allí viendo la carrera pues le prestase. Al final, pude terminar 14º, que vamos, tampoco es que sea un puesto del copón, sino mas bien malo.
Como conclusión, no se, una carrera un poco descafeinada, en la que creo que pudiese haber dado bastante más de lo que di, y sin embargo no ocurrió así (también, que de correr en carretera no tengo ni idea), sin incertidumbre podíamos decir, pero bueno, ya llegarán más carreras más chulas para redimirse.
Y como en Fuenlabrada, ni una maldita foto, veis, una cosa mejor que tiene el btt, hay mas fotógrafos jejeje.
